I. Fire
Update on the Captain's promotional process, Chief Cruse informed us that the Captain promotional interviews will be held this month and expect the promotions to be before us at the November meeting.
II. Recreation
The new Phi Lambda Pi budget line item 206.301 will be for $42,000 in the 2010 budget.
Phi Lambda Pi grossed $6953.32 from the July 4th activities.
Concession stand profits were $2234.49, with the pool attendance being down 21%.
Reminder for the Halloween Fest is Oct. 17th.
III. Service
South Reading Road Path lights will start being installed in the next week.
IV. Engineering
Vineyard and Renoir street projects will start Oct. 13th and be completed by November 15th.
Landscaping of Islands are approximately 80% complete and scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
Bids for the Recreation Center roof will be on the Oct. Agenda and are through the state bid program.
Glendale Milford and Monet surveying and design is ongoing.
Fuel tank slab should be completed within the next couple of weeks and the tank delivered when directed.
V. Gorman Heritage Farm
Annual presentation was made as requested by Funding Agreement, other committee should receive a hard copy of presentation.
49 Eagle Scout projects have been identified for the farm for next year.
Sandra asked if we could promote the farm at the Town Meeting.
Committee requested a presentation by the Social Venture Partnership for the December meeting; they are currently identifying the 3 priority projects that they want to pursue.
Other Items: Jack provided an update on the Front Street Agreement with it being on the agenda for a cost not to exceed $118,000 for the Economic Development Strategic Plan, Master Plan Implementation and Land Use, Marketing for 3 properties.
